Black Hills BBQ Seasoning
Black Hills is a complex rub designed for the barbeque fanatic. This rub encompasses a bold sweet-smoky flavor that stands up great to the cooking process. When using a Southern barbeque method such as cooking the meat over indirect heat for a number of hours, this stuff is magic. We give the South much credit in perfecting barbecuing and believe their methods to be superior when it comes to creating a flavor that is rich and full.

This blend contains Hungarian sweet paprika, kosher salt, honey powder, ground allspice, ground chipotle, ground nutmeg, very fine black pepper, granulated garlic, China cinnamon, Mediterranean thyme, ground mace and spices.
Try applying 1 heaping tbsp. per pound of meat an hour or two before cooking. This blend does contain salt, so do not let the meat set over night as the salt will draw moisture out. We’ve smoked whole Salmon fillets with this rub and have had great success. Black Hills is also great on the standard barbecue meats; beef, pork and chicken. For a great sauce, mix 2 tbsp. blend into 1 1/2 cup ketchup.
