Citrus & Savory Brining Spices (Salt-Free)
This zesty blend will infuse your brine with a delightful flavor. Great for brining chicken, turkey, goose, pork or shrimp. Use 1-2 tablespoons of brining spices per cup of salt to properly brine your protein of choice. To determine how much salt is needed, place your protein in a large container and measure the amount of liquid it takes to fully submerge it. Each gallon of liquid required equals 1 cup of kosher salt. The salt should not be added directly to the water.
Coriander seeds, chopped garlic, lemon peel, cracked pepper, allspice berries, orange peel, lemon thyme, and cracked Turkish bay leaves.

Quick Tip - Add more flavor to your brine by substituting some or all of the water with alcohols, apple juice or cider, beer, citrus juices, stocks, soy sauce, teas, flavored vinegars or wine.
