The Highlands Italian Cheese Sprinkle
Many of the first Italian immigrants to the Denver area settled into an area which is now the neighborhood known as The Highlands. Our Italian style cheese sprinkle, named after this “Little Italy” neighborhood, is hand mixed from Romano cheese powder, roasted garlic, California basil, Greek oregano and green peppercorns. You can use this sprinkle on pastas, salads and popcorn, but we still think that it’s best for garlic bread.

This blend contains romano (part-skim cow’s milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzymes and sodium phosphate), roasted garlic, California basil, Greek oregano and green peppercorns.
For tasty garlic bread, simply butter your choice of bread, sprinkle thoroughly with The Highlands and bake to a toasty light brown. In addition, this blend can be used to make a nice veggie dip or dressing. Mix 1-2 tbsp. of The Highlands into 1 cup of sour cream or a mayo/sour cream mixture. This blend is heavy on the garlic, as many Italian dishes are, so if you are garlic lover, this one is for you.
