Oregon Trail Juniper Berry Spice

Expand Product Info ▼

The Oregon Trail was a story of survival, living off the bounty of the land. A 2,000 mile wagon route connected the Missouri River to the Pacific and settlers encountered plenty of wild game. The flavors of this rub are a nod to the rich history of the west but have been adapted to suit a variety of meats.

Ingredients:
White sugar, garlic salt, juniper berries, granulated onion, coarse black pepper, lemon peel, orange peel, citric acid, smoked sweet paprika, white minced onion, ground rosemary, nutmeg and minced green onion

We handcraft this seasoning by thoroughly mixing together sugar, garlic salt, juniper berries, onion, pepper, lemon peel, orange peel, citric acid, smoked sweet paprika, rosemary, nutmeg, and minced green onion. This blend is perfect for game meats; also try it on steak, pork, or chicken. Use to flavor sausages, bratwursts, and to perk up sauerkrauts.

“I have bought spices from other websites and in person from many locations and I must tell you that I find yours to be the freshest and most flavorful! I live in a small rural town in Minnesota and if it wasn't for you I would not be able to prepare the dishes I love.”
