Pearl St. Plank Rub
The Pearl St. Pedestrian Mall is one of the most visited places in Boulder, CO and we are lucky enough to have one of our shops in the vicinity. Partner and owner of that shop, Dan Hayward, created this blend with three distinct flavor characteristics; sweet, spicy and smoky! We call it a plank rub because it was created with cedar plank salmon in mind.
Maple sugar, smoked Spanish sweet paprika, salt, chiles, garlic and yellow mustard powder
Obviously Pearl St. Plank Rub is amazing on salmon, but give it a try on other seafood like scallops or shrimp. Additionally, this blend would be great on poultry, pork, and veggies. To use as rub start with 1 tbsp. per pound. To use as a seasoning, use a lighter hand, around a tsp. per pound. We handcraft this tasty rub from maple sugar, smoked sweet paprika, salt, chiles, garlic and yellow mustard powder.
