Roman Pepper Steak Seasoning
The classic Italian steak, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, is simply seasoned with olive oil, salt and pepper. Venture towards Sicily and you’ll find the addition of rosemary, lemon and garlic. We’ve created our Roman Pepper Steak Seasoning to encompass these basics, but with additions to allow a greater depth of Italian flavor.
Sea salt, black pepper, garlic, white pepper, crushed red pepper, lemon peel, rosemary, basil, citric acid and lemon thyme
This is a great seasoning for any quality cut of beef, but also nice on chicken, meaty white fish and vegetables. Try making a basic marinade by mixing 1-2 tbsp. seasoning with a ½ cup olive oil and a ¼ cup each of white wine vinegar and lemon juice. A ¼ to a ½ cup of marinade should be prepared per pound of meat. Remember to coat the meat entirely. Additionally, you only need to marinate quality steaks for 20-30 minutes.
