Shrimp & Crab Boil (Salt-Free)
Shrimp & Crab Boil is a necessity for the seafood enthusiast. Try this blend when preparing shrimp, lobster, crab or crawfish. Use 1 tbsp. of blend per quart of cold water; containing them in a tea ball or muslin bag. To release the flavor of this blend, toss the contained spices into the pot, bring to a boil and simmer for thirty minutes. At this point, all of the flavor from the spices should have released into the water. Now it is ready for a splash of white wine and your choice of shellfish.
Brown and yellow mustard seeds, coriander, dill seeds, allspice, Ceylon cloves, cracked bay leaves and chiles
This blend is a combination of whole and cracked spices. We carefully blend brown and yellow mustard seeds, coriander seeds, dill seeds, Ceylon cloves, allspice berries, chiles and cracked bay leaves to bring you this classic blend. You can also use this blend when par boiling ribs or add 1-2 tsp. to the water in the bottom of the pan when cooking a beef or pot roast. Parboiling Ribs - Use 4-6 tbsp. of blend for 3-4 pounds of ribs in a 5-quart pot. Strew spices into pot with the water and submerge the ribs. Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes. Now the ribs are ready for grilling and should only need about 10 minutes on the grill.
