Keeping San Diego spicy, Savory Spice Shop Encinitas will offer classes with chef demonstrations as well as tastings highlighting some local culinary pairings.

Farmers' Market Tour & Cooking Class

5:00pm - 8:30pmStep off the beaten path! Join Stephanie and Chef Lisa Turnbull for a tour of the Encinitas Farmers’ Market. We’ll explore the market and get our hands dirty searching for just the right ingredients for our meal. Talking with the farmers, we’ll learn about interesting varietals; talk with them about their favorite way of preparing their produce. Then on to the shop, where we’ll don our aprons and turn our bounty into a wonderful feast! You’ll learn cooking theory, technique, tips and tricks to make you a better cook. There is a $50.00 charge for this class. Please call the shop at (760) 230-4801 to RSVP and to pre-pay for this demonstration. Couples welcome - space will be limited to the first 8 registrants. *Please note, you must be willing and able to walk four blocks from the farmers’ market to the shop.
