Drum roll please.....my last stop, number 88, on my "what the heck was I thinking?" 38 day #‎chasingbbq road trip was at Q39 in KC. Robert Magee, owner, pit master and champion BBQ competitor really put out an amazing spread for my last stop. I feel a little bad, because I didn't take my best photos there - mostly because I think I was a little distracted with the great company and reality that my road trip was coming to an end.

It's pretty cool to be able to sit and banter with Rob and Paul Kirk...there is a lot of respect both ways, but neither is shy about throwing a zinger or two at the other...and well...at me too! Good times and I learned some really good pro tips from the two of them.
For me, I don't know if there could be a better 'cue experience to end my chase with. Rob is doing some real interesting barbecue and creative sides. He sent out burnt ends, brisket, pork ribs, house-made sausage, chicken wings and delectable pork belly. Sides were aplenty too...an apple slaw, a Southwestern slaw, cassoulet, onion strings, potato salad, cornbread and three flavor packed sauces. Wow! Everything was up there flavor wise, but since we have to choose highlights they'd be these...glazed pork ribs, pork belly, apple slaw, the burnt ends and all three sauces.

This is a must stop! Thanks to Rob for the nice send off to my #chasingbbq road trip.
