Travel Info
We’re located just one half block north of historic Pearl Street Mall on the west side of the street. From Denver, take the B bus. By car, take U.S. Hwy 36 to Boulder. Left on Canyon Blvd, right on Broadway. There is a parking garage located directly behind the shop at 11th and Spruce (take a left on Spruce if you are going north on Broadway). We validate for up to 30 minutes Monday through Friday. Parking in all Boulder garages is FREE on Saturdays and Sundays.

I moved to Colorado from Georgia in 1999 and before my Savory years spent 15 years in the restaurant business. I developed a passion for food, history, culture, and travel at an early age and after a stint in the Peace Corps and as a Resident Manager my career with Savory Spice Shop began. Downtown Business of the Year 2009. Quarterly contributions to Boulder County charities. 100% Wind powered. 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.Join Kate Johnson of Briar Gate Farm and spend a delightful evening learning how to make handcrafted soft-ripened cheeses right in your own kitchen! Whether you have access to farm-fresh goat or cow’s milk or just milk from your local grocery store, Kate will teach you how to make several delicious cheeses that require minimal equipment and ingredients but will impress your family friends. At the conclusion of this one-hour demonstration class, you will get to sample several varieties of the cheeses including those made with herbs and spices available at Savory Spice Shop. In this four part series led by Chef Suzanne Rudolph and Dan Hayward we will examine history, tasting notes, flavor profiles, and, of course, taste our way through Western Europe.
