Mushrooms, Oyster, Dehydrated

Oyster mushrooms derived their name from their visual and aromatic similarity to the shellfish. Additionally, they have a delicate flavor that resembles oysters. Oyster mushrooms are firm, allowing them stand up to grilling or broiling and add thickness to sauces and soups.

These mushrooms pair nicely with Asian dishes, chicken and fish. Also perfect for chowders, casseroles and Au Gratin dishes. To use as fresh, reconstitute by simmering in water for 15-20 minutes then drain or reserve liquid for further use. Dried mushrooms keep much longer than fresh.
