Porcini Mushrooms, Dehydrated
Porcini mushrooms (Boletus Edulis) are very popular throughout Europe and the United States. In Italy, during the fall months, the Porcini grows in abundance. They have a strong flavor with subtle undertones. Because dried Porcini flavor is very concentrated they are an economical choice as you can use less in recipes. Porcini are delicious in sauces, soups. Stews and stuffing.

To use as fresh, reconstitute by simmering in water for 15-20 minutes, drain or reserve liquid for further use. Dried mushrooms keep much longer than fresh, and because these are expensive, dried are great choices for your kitchen.
