Savory's Roots

We are thrilled to be celebrating Savory Spice Shop's 10th anniversary after opening our first shop in Denver in 2004. We started our business with our original seasonings, a small grinder in the shop’s basement, and an intense passion for spices. We set out to deliver the freshest ground spices and seasonings available, at fair prices, so that everyone could enjoy them. Our plan was simple: we would build our small business one customer at a time and focus on delivering a great experience to each and every one of them.

“On our first day of business, I think we did $97 in sales and we were thrilled! We worked on the Savory concept for two years and we had finally opened the doors. The Denver community embraced us in a way that any small business could only dream of and word spread quickly.” – Janet

In the past 10 years, Savory Spice Shop has grown into a family with over 30 locally-owned shops located throughout the country. Our shops have evolved over the years, as we strive to keep them innovative and fun, but we are proud to say that we have stayed true to the basic foundation of Savory. While we are no longer grinding spices in the basement, we still grind and blend our spices weekly to ensure the highest quality. We will continue to do our best to make sure that you, our customers, have a great experience while visiting our shops and using our products.

“We are so thankful to the people of Denver for their continued support and we feel humbled and fortunate to still be doing what we love. This anniversary is something we are really proud of and is cause for celebration for the entire Savory Spice Shop family.” – Mike

From the entire Savory Spice Shop family, thank you for your loyalty. We are grateful for your patronage. Please let us know how we can serve you better as it has been our pleasure!
