Highlands Italian Alfredo Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 2/3 cup Highlands Italian Cheese Sprinkle
- 1 egg yolk, optional
- salt, to taste
Over medium heat, melt butter in a saucepan. Add heavy cream and stir continually to incorporate butter. Add Highlands Italian Cheese Sprinkle and stir continually until cheese is completely melted. Whisk in egg yolk (if using), reduce heat to low and simmer for 4 to 6 min. Salt to taste.
Serve over fettuccini or your favorite pasta.
