Mulled Wine Black Onyx Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients:
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Mulling Spices
- 1 tsp. dehydrated orange peel
- 1/4 cup Dutch cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup black onyx cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes. Turn off heat, cover and steep for 15 minutes. Strain solids and return the liquid to a clean saucepan. Whisk in cocoa powders and corn syrup until smooth. Simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in chopped chocolate until melted. Cool to room temperature then refrigerate.Serving Suggestions:
Serve drizzled over ice cream.Yields:
