Mulled Wine

Ingredients:
1 bottle red wine or brandy (750 ml.)
1 tbsp. Mulling Spices

Notes:
For a non-alcoholic version, use the same process using 3 tbsp. for a gallon of apple cider. Try simmering a pot of water with spices to enjoy the scent throughout the house, especially good when having company.

Directions:
Place mulling spices in a tea ball, tied in cheesecloth or a muslin bag. Simmer in water for 20-30 minutes to reconstitute, which helps to release the flavor. When ready, remove the contained spices, discard the remaining water and place the contained spices back into the pot. Empty the red wine or brandy into the pot and gently heat until warm, but not too hot to drink, there is no reason to boil the libation. Remove spices and serve.
