Who doesn't love a good mug of hot cocoa? You can make a simple hot chocolate with our Dutch Cocoa Powder. Or you can spice it up! Make it minty with Peppermint Vanilla Bean Sugar. Add a chile kick with our Mayan Cocoa. Or give it a cinnamon infusion with our Mexican Cocoa.

Ingredients

Directions

Mix cocoa and sugar together in a drinking mug. Pour in about 2 Tbsp. of the hot milk and mix together to form a paste. (Doing this helps to dissolve the cocoa and results in a non-clumpy drink.) Slowly pour in the rest of the milk and mix thoroughly. If needed, add more sugar to taste. Recipe can be multiplied and made in a saucepan to serve more.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with whipped cream or marshmallows and shaved chocolate. Or change it up and make it with one of Savory’s flavored vanilla bean sugars and various cocoa powders.

Try one of these variations:

- Use Peppermint Vanilla Bean Sugar and top with crushed peppermint candies.

- Use Mayan Cocoa and top with Aleppo crushed red pepper flakes.

- Use Mexican Cocoa and top with a dash of ground cinnamon.

"A friend of mine gave me a sample of the Peruvian Chile Lime seasoning and now it is over. The quality is so good that I just had to find you guys online. I will be trying a few new spices. I hope to be happily satisfied by the new flavors as well. There is no better way for a business to grow than with word of mouth about great quality of products and service! Sending you love from Arizona, keep up the good work!"
