This simple sauce was created to work with our version of a chicken Parmesan recipe, but we love it just much over pasta or as a pizza sauce.



Ingredients

Directions

Heat oil in saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until translucent, stirring, 4 to 5 min. Reduce heat to medium and stir in tomatoes. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 5 min., stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 8 to 10 min., stirring occasionally.

Serving Suggestions

Serve over pasta or use in Savory’s Chicken Gran Paradiso.

This sauce is amazing. I made it with fresh tomatoes and put it on Chicken or Dipping for bread and it always turns out really wonderful. It is a great time to make it as it is a nice and hearty without being heavy. Yum Yum. Give it a try.
