Ingredients

1 1/2 cups water

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup orange juice


2 vanilla beans of choice:




3 to 4 cups crushed ice

Directions

In a small pot over medium-high heat, bring water and sugar to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 to 4 min. until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in orange juice and Madagascar Vanilla Bean Paste or scraped seeds from vanilla beans of choice. Chill for 2 to 3 hours. Place 3 to 4 cups crushed ice in a food processor and pulse until ice is finely shaved (snow-like appearance). Place shaved ice in cone or bowl and top with syrup. Serve immediately.
