Recipe: Easy Alfredo Sauce
By the time your pasta is done cooking you'll have this simple yet sophisticated sauce ready to go. It works with several of our cheese blends, too.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add cream and stir to incorporate butter. Add 2/3 cup of your cheese sprinkle of choice and stir until cheese is completely melted. Whisk in egg yolk (if using). Reduce heat to low and simmer for 4 to 6 min. then remove from heat and add salt and pepper to taste. Tip: Use additional cream or some of the pasta cooking water to thin sauce out to desired consistency.
Serve over your favorite pasta.
