When we say small batch BBQ sauce, we mean it! Taking inspiration from his Chasing BBQ road trip, Savory founder Mike Johnston brought back his favorite regional barbecue flavors to the Savory Spice Test Kitchen. After lots of testing and tasting, we turned the flavors of Mike’s journey into eight delicious BBQ sauces to share with our customers.
Ketchup (tomato paste, cane sugar, vinegar, sea salt, spices, onion powder, garlic powder), apple cider vinegar, Georgia Peach Spice (vanilla bean sugar, Saigon cinnamon, lemon peel, citric acid, cloves, allspice), sugar, less than 2% of molasses, hickory smoke flavor, maltodextrin.
This barbecue sauce was inspired by Savory Spice founder Janet Johnston’s dad, Woody. He makes a peachy sauce when he serves up pork chops. Our version is a thick, ketchup based sauce featuring our signature Georgia Peach Spice, inspired by the spices used to make Southern spiced peaches: cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. We also add a hint of hickory smokiness. Great for adding a sweet tang to chicken, pork chops, ribs, pulled pork, salmon, or grilled veggies. Use as a pizza sauce for BBQ chicken pizza or add some zip to baked beans.
