Cuba is comprised of diverse ethnic backgrounds, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, even West African and Asian. In creating a seasoning to represent this melting pot, we married two critical flavoring elements of traditional Cuban cuisine: Adobo and Sofrito. The result is a bright and wonderful seasoning that is unlike anything else we have created.
Garlic, salt, black pepper, bell peppers, onion, cumin, annatto, tomato, oregano, cilantro, parsley, makrut lime, basil, thyme, marjoram and rosemary.
We have an abundant collection of Adobo seasonings in our product line up, but the addition of Sofrito flavors was the key to creating this Cuban inspired spice. Traditionally made with fresh ingredients, the base for Sofrito is an aromatic trio of chile peppers, onion and garlic with tomato, cilantro and parsley completing the sauce. Perfecting a dry version was the first order of business and finding the ideal balance of sofrito and adobo was the final step. We handcraft this exciting seasoning by precisely mixing together garlic, salt, black pepper, bell peppers, onion, cumin, annatto, tomato, oregano, cilantro, parsley, makrut alime, basil, thyme, marjoram and rosemary.
