Pike Place Protein Rub

Expand Product Info ▼

Pike Place Market, a noteworthy foodie site in the city of Seattle, is always in touch with current food trends. This Paleo spice blend highlights the flavor of sumac and healthiness of chia seeds. It was with these current food trends in mind that we created this rub. An homage to Seattle’s history, this rub is balanced by a touch of coffee. We handcraft this spice rub by thoroughly mixing together Himalayan pink salt, chia seeds, sumac, orange peel, garlic, coarse coffee, black pepper and thyme.

Ingredients:
Himalayan pink salt, chia seeds, sumac, orange peel, garlic, coarse coffee, black pepper, and thyme.

We call it a protein rub because the flavors of Pike Place pair perfectly with beef, pork, poultry, seafood and tofu. However it isn’t just for proteins, use it to add great flavor to dips, dressings, soups and sauces, or sprinkle on vegetables.

The following recipes use Pike Place Protein Rub.

“I just made your Jamaican Jerk marinade for pork kebobs that I grilled. It was outstanding. I usually stick to the recipe for the first time before I later adapt it to my own tastes. This time, I am not changing the recipe one bit. It's perfect as it is. Thanks.”
