Salt Cellar, Bird Bath
These little pewter works of art are a great way to display or serve up salts, spices or other condiments.
Pewter care and cleaning tips:
Pewter melts at 450 degrees and is not safe to use as a container for cooking processes that require heat, but is safe as a non-heat food container. Use care and do not place on hot plates or near open flames. Pewter also can be stained or pitted from acidic items like citrus juices, marinades or dressings etc., so avoid using these salt cellars with acidic products. Pewter does not tarnish and may not need to be cleaned often, however, when cleaning hand wash in warm soapy water and dry immediately. Not safe for dishwashers.
