Celery grows wild in many places around the world. The garden variety that our flakes come from is native to Europe. We carry celery seeds, freshly ground celery seeds and these celery flakes. Celery flakes have a parsley type aroma and flavor and are about twice as strong as the fresh vegetable.

In folk medicine, celery is believed to help ease cancerous ulcers and inflammatory tumors.

Toss celery flakes in soups, stocks or stews. If you’re making a roast, casserole or chicken salad you should rehydrate the flakes first. Use a 3 to 1 ratio for water to flakes, cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain and use.
