Although they’re native to Central and South America and the Caribbean Islands, bell peppers are now grown around the world. They have a mild sweet flavor and are an excellent source of vitamin C. These peppers also contain vitamin A and small amounts of calcium, iron, niacin, phosphorus, riboflavin and thiamine.

Chiles, Green Bell

The green pepper is the unripe, yet edible fruit. The red pepper is the same fruit just vine ripened longer and allowed to sweeten even more. To re-hydrate, add water until just covering peppers and let stand for 20 minutes or until soft. If you’re making soup, stew or sauces you won’t need to re-hydrate, the cooking process will take care of it. Great for campers. We also carry a mixed bell blend.
