Curry Leaves, Dried
Native to Southern Asia where they grow wild in the foothills of the Himalayas, curry leaves have been cultivated in India for centuries. They are now grown in Australia and recently here in the States. It is important not to confuse curry leaves with the thousands curry powders which are made of many combinations of spices and aromatics, although curry leaves are included in many of those powders.

Our curry leaves are dried from fresh leaves every week and have a more subtle flavor than the fresh. Dried curry leaves have an appetizing aroma of roasted curry and the flavor is delicately spicy, faintly bitter with a hint of citrus. Curry leaves are an important ingredient in our Sri Lanken curry powder. Try them in vegetable or meat dishes and in homemade curries.
Curry leaf trees grow up to 6-8 feet in height and are usually pruned twice a year.
