Mustard Powder, Hot Oriental

This pure, oriental hot yellow mustard powder is the ground product of the seeds from a large bush native to Asia. Produced from the most pungent seeds, this powder is spicy and sharp and can be made into the type of hot mustard you might receive with a dish at a Chinese restaurant.

In one year at New York's Yankee Stadium, more than 1,600 gallons of mustard and 2,000,000 individual packets are consumed.

For a simple mustard recipe, start with 1 cup mustard powder, 3 fluid ounces water and 3 fluid ounces vinegar. Mix well and salt to taste. Let stand 10 minutes while considering what other flavor you might want to add to make it your own.

You will receive the product in plastic, sealable bags that will be labeled with the product name, uses, and ingredients if applicable. The bags meet FDA requirements for food applications. They are 100% recyclable and can be put in with all other plastics recycled at home.

  • The small glass bottles hold 2 fluid ounces. The plastic lids have a flip top with a small pour spout.
  • Medium glass bottles hold 4 fluid ounces. The plastic lids have a split flip top. One side has a larger opening and the other side is a shaker.
  • Large glass bottles hold 12 fluid ounces. The plastic lids have a split flip top. On side has a larger opening and the other side is a shaker.
