Pepper, Black, Tellicherry: Medium Crack
Our Tellicherry black pepper is offered in a variety of sizes as well as whole. The sizes are determined by running the cracked or ground peppercorns through a variety of sieves or screens. Common mesh sizes such as 6, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 60 refer to holes per square inch.

Medium Cracked: 10/15 mesh size. This is the size most chefs prefer when making steak, tuna or pork au poivre.

A large crack would be referred to as the industry standard, 6/10. These are the pieces that went through the 6 hole per square inch screen and stayed on top of the 10 hole per square inch screen. We offer a variety of sizes of ground Tellicherry peppercorns.
