Thyme was consumed as a cure for a hangover in the 18th century.

French thyme grows in many regions throughout France and is commonly used in every day cooking. It possesses a darker green color and a stronger aroma than Mediterranean thyme. The leaf itself is about the same size but seems to be a bit more flavorful containing a tad of bitterness. Try using this French thyme in soups, stews, roasts or potatoes.

Thyme originates from Southern Europe.
