Savory Spice Shop to Open in Boulder
Dan Hayward
We are really excited to announce the opening of the third Savory Spice Shop, this time in Boulder, Colorado. Our new Managing Partner, Dan Hayward, has already been pounding the pavement up north, handing out samples and getting acquainted with neighbors and local chefs. Some of you may know Dan from our Denver shop. He has been a long-time, dedicated employee of Savory and we are absolutely thrilled to have him leading the way in Boulder. We are hoping to open this summer. Stay tuned!

Savory Spice Shop prides itself on not only having the hard-to-find items, but in constantly growing and expanding our selections. We have fun researching new products and creating new blends and hope you enjoy the end results.

Organic Spices
Savory Spice Shop is slowly expanding its line of organic spices. Where we have found high quality, comparably priced selections, we have replaced our non-organic selection completely. Elsewhere, we have added the organic option to our current line.

Vietnamese Sweet Lemon Curry

Curries and Related Products
Vietnamese Sweet Lemon Curry and Cambodian Lemongrass Curry are two of our newest blends in our Golden Triangle gift set. Try using powdered coconut milk to make small portions rather than wasting a whole can. You can also make a frozen coconut custard with this!

Chiles de Arbol

Hot Stuff
Chiles de Arbol which is related to the cayenne and pequin, has a rich red color and a thin flesh. "Only" a 6-7 on a heat scale of 1 to 10, it's easily topped by the Bhut Jolokia which is confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the hottest pepper in the world. Heat of a different kind is experienced with pure wasabi powder. Not to be confused with the imitation, the pure powder has an earthier taste and is also more expensive.
