Citrus & Savory Brining Spices (Salt-Free)
This zesty blend will infuse your brine with a delightful flavor. Great for brining chicken, turkey, goose, pork, or shrimp. You'll need 4 Tbsp. brining spices, 1 cup kosher salt, and 1/2 cup sugar (optional) per 1 gallon of water to create a brine for your protein of choice. To determine how much water is needed to create a brine for your chosen protein, place protein in a container large enough to hold it and measure the amount of water it takes to fully submerge it. Coriander seeds, chopped garlic, lemon peel, cracked pepper, allspice berries, orange peel, lemon verbena, and cracked Turkish bay leaves.
