Easy Eats for your Next Camping Adventure
The first dish we made was Spice ‘n Easy Pasta Salad using our Green Goddess Dip & Dressing. This dish is as easy as it gets because you can prep your veggies, pasta, and dressing ahead of time, making for a simple yet flavorful meal. Plus, veggies and carbs always hit the spot after a busy day of being outside—you just can’t argue with that.

Michael and I then tried out one of my favorite Spice ‘n Easys, Bourbon Chicken. You can make the sauce ahead of time and chop up your chicken and veggies of choice. At the campsite, throw it all together in a cast iron skillet over a camping stove or fire, and boom! Who knew you could have takeout in the wilderness?

I’ve always been a big fan of foil packet dinners, or “hobos” as I like to call them. I also love our Sunday Pot Roast, so why not combine the two? We sprinkled the Sunday Pot Roast spice over stew meat, celery, red onions, and red potatoes with some olive oil. You can then cook it gently over a fire until the meat is cooked through and veggies are tender. Trust me, you’ll be wanting seconds.

We wanted to finish off our camping experiment with some dessert (Michael and I are both known for having a sweet tooth, so this was inevitable). I have made our Spiced Apple Bake in a cast iron skillet at home, so why not over a fire? Prep Spiced Apple Bake according to the instructions, cover with foil, and cook gently until golden brown and the apples are soft. This is a sweet treat that will make anyone a happy camper!

Other Spice ‘n Easys that would be great for camping:
- Our new Seven Onion BBQ Meatloaf made into burgers.
- Toasty Tomato Bisque for cool camping nights.
- Rustic Red Sauce for a quick and flavorful spaghetti.
