Lampong black peppercorns, sometimes spelled Lampung, are picked from ripened Lampong peppers that are cultivated in Indonesia. Because they are not allowed to mature on the vine, Lampong peppercorns are a bit smaller than your standard black peppercorn, but are more sharp and hot in flavor. Grind in your peppermill and use for a more pungent pepper seasoning.
