Flavor Profile
This tart & tangy seasoning is nutty, salted, and earthy with herbal and peppery notes.
How to Use
Sprinkle on cooked chicken, fish, and lamb. Try on eggplant or roasted carrots. For spread or dip, mix equal parts spice with olive oil. Use more oil for dipping, less for spreading.About This Blend
Like curry blends, there are many varieties of Za'atar spice blends. We mix seven spices to create the perfect, versatile Mediterranean seasoning for meat, fish, vegetables, and breads.More Information
One of the best ways to enjoy Za'atar is as a simple paste for dipping and spreading.
Za'atar Spread - Mix 1-2 Tbsp. spice to about 1-2 Tbsp. of olive oil. Drizzle in oil slowly until you reach the desired consistency (a little more oil for dipping, a little less for spreading). It is great for dipping fresh bread, or for spreading on pita and toasting until crispy.
