Monosodium glutamate, more commonly referred to as MSG, is actually a natural product rather than a chemically induced one as many think. MSG is usually made by fermenting certain strands of bacteria and occurs naturally in beet molasses and tomatoes.
Although lately MSG has been frowned upon because of some people’s allergic reaction to the product, we carry it for the population that has grown to love it and use it on a daily basis. MSG is a standard component in Japanese and Chinese cooking and is loved for its ability to explode on the taste buds. We do not add MSG to any of our blends.
