12/15/20 Update: Due to unprecedented demand and changing conditions with shipping carriers, we have made the following changes to our holiday shipping guidelines:

  • Premium Shipping: If your order is urgent, select Two-Day Shipping or Overnight Shipping to have your order shipped same day if placed before 1pm MT.  The last day to place your Premium Shipping order to guarantee that your order is shipped from our warehouses is 12/21 by 1pm MT.  Orders placed on Saturday 12/19 or Sunday 12/20 will be shipped Monday 12/21.
  • Standard Shipping: Place your order by midnight on 12/17 to guarantee that your order is shipped from our warehouse by 12/21.  Standard shipped orders are not guaranteed to arrive by 12/25.

As we head into the busiest time of the year, we’re all grappling with many unknowns. Due to the COVID-19 atmosphere in conjunction with the holiday season, we are expecting to see a number of things across the country:

  • An extremely high volume of orders
  • Extended and delayed shipping times after orders leave our doors due to carrier overload
  • Further delays due to COVID-19 regulations

We are here to help.

We know that things are a bit up in the air this year, but as your loyal spice merchants we are here to help. We’ve put together a few suggestions to help you make the most of your holiday shopping and to get you everything you need.

What we recommend:

  1. Shop early.
  2. Get all of your holiday feasting and gifting needs checked off the list now. Bonus: You’ll get free shipping when you spend $59.
  3. Place your order for curbside pickup if you live near one of our store locations.
  4. Stay calm and (Savory) Spice on.

FAQs

What can I expect for the holiday season this year?

Many people will be conveniently shopping online this year, so place your gift orders early to ensure on-time holiday delivery. We also offer Digital Gift Cards which can be purchased online and automatically sent to your gift recipient immediately or on any future date you specify.

When will my order arrive?

Orders generally require 2-4 days to process during the holiday season, plus shipping time to reach your destination. Please keep in mind that once your package leaves Savory Spice and is turned over to the carrier, shipping times are not guaranteed and may be dependent on the volume of packages, weather, or COVID-19 restrictions.

To ensure your package leaves our warehouse by 12/21, please place your order by the following dates:

  • Premium Shipping: Prior to 1pm MT on 12/21 (Overnight and 2nd Day ship methods)
  • Standard Shipping: Prior to midnight MT on 12/17

How do I select Premium Shipping?

On the Review and Place Your Order screen during the checkout process, there is a Shipping section at the top of the page.  Your order will default to Standard Shipping.

To change, click the Edit button next to Shipping Method in the top center of the screen.  Select either Two-Day Shipping or Overnight Shipping (you may have to scroll down to see it), then click Save.

Where can I find a tracking number?

You will receive a shipping confirmation email from either Fed Ex or Endicia/USPS that will contain your tracking number. You can track the status of your package online and access your package’s most up-to-date information online, directly through the carrier.

What if my order never arrives?

If you have not received your order 15 days after it was shipped (not placed), please reach out to our customer service team at 1-888-677-3322. Select option #0, and we will begin looking into your order. Please note that investigations, package tracers, and claims cannot be initiated before 15 days or without a tracking number.

What if the carrier does not deliver on time?

Unfortunately, due to the varied issues carriers are facing this year, most carriers have suspended their service guarantees. This means that carriers are not offering refunds for shipments that do not meet their stated timelines.  

When should I order by for Christmas delivery?

Premium Shipping: All orders placed by 1pm MT on the 21st of December are guaranteed to be shipped from our warehouse by the 21st of December.

Standard Shipping: All orders placed by midnight MT on the 17th of December are guaranteed to be shipped from our warehouse by the 21st of December.

If you place your Standard Shipping order on the 18th or later, of if you place your Premium Shipping order after 1pm MT on the 21st, we cannot guarantee that it will leave our warehouse on the 21st or in time to receive it by Christmas.

We are not guaranteeing how quickly carriers deliver packages once they leave our warehouse. 

Please be aware that once orders have left Savory Spice, they may experience delays in the hands of carriers and the carriers may refuse to refund for missed service levels.
