Dips & Dressings

Most people appreciate a good Italian dressing to enhance an otherwise hum-drum salad. You can laso use this as a dry rub for chicken, pork, or fish.

For a vinaigrette salad dressing: Use a jar with a lid. Add 1 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup vinegar (white wine, red wine, or balsamic) and 1-2 Tbsp. Italian Dressing Blend. Seal the jar and shake vigorously to combine and emulsify dressing.

For a creamy dressing or dip: Whisk together 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 cup sour cream, 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard, and 2-3 Tbsp. Italian Dressing Blend. Thin with milk if desired to make the dressing more pourable.

Spice Tips!

Turkey Meatballs: Mix 1 Tbsp. into 1 lb. ground turkey, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, and 1 beaten egg before forming into balls and baking at 375 degrees for 25 min.

Roast Chicken: Combine 2 Tbsp. with 2 Tbsp. oil and rub onto bone-in chicken pieces before roasting.

Creamy Dressing: Stir 2 Tbsp. into 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, and 1/2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard. Thin with milk if desired.

This sweetened mix is bittersweet and aromatic with herbal and peppery notes.
For classic Italian dressing, mix 2-3 T with 2 cups oil and 1 cup vinegar. For bolder flavor, use equal parts oil and vinegar. For a creamy version, mix equal parts mayo and sour cream, thin with vinegar.
