For nearly two decades, Savory Spice has sourced the highest quality herbs & spices from around the globe. We use only the best spices to create our iconic seasonings.
You can shop with confidence knowing that our suppliers adhere to all import regulations, testing requirements, and American Spice Trade Association guidelines. These include ensuring spices meet federal regulatory requirements for safety and cleanliness, conducting environmental monitoring, and preventing product adulteration.
From California to Sri Lanka
From our California-grown Granulated Garlic to our Ceylon Cinnamon, harvested in Sri Lanka, our suppliers are carefully selected for their premium quality, freshness and taste, sustainability, and social responsibility.
We find opportunities to partner with vendors supporting family businesses and community suppliers around the globe. Our high-quality Saffron from Taliouine, Morocco is a prime example of this partnership.
Supporting International Co-Ops
One of our small international suppliers, Tiffout Saffron, partners with an organic-certified co-op of farmers in Morocco. These small farms provide the freshest saffron threads on the market. This co-op harvests saffron crocuses each October at tifout, "the first light of dawn."
Profits go to the women who harvest the saffron and help to cover essential everyday costs, providing for their children's education, and assisting with costs for Eid Al-Adha, "the feast of the sacrifice," where lamb is an expensive, essential cost.
This co-op also operates a non-profit called "Hands of Mercy" that covers otherwise unattainable medical operations and provides funds that allow those who have fallen on hard times to keep their homes.
We primarily package our spices in glass jars and encourage customers to recycle or reuse them whenever possible. The glass bottles we use for our extracts and sauces are also recyclable, and so is our Spice Set packaging.
All of our bags (from 1/2 cup to 3 cup sizes) are made with recycled kraft paper and BPA-free, recyclable plastic.
