6 Tbsp. pureed pumpkin (fresh or from a can)


3 cups milk (regular or non-dairy alternative)



Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Directions

Mix pumpkin and Pumpkin Pie Spice in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly for 1 to 2 min. until fragrant. Add 1/4 cup of the milk and stir until smooth. Add Classic Hot Cocoa packets and another 1/2 cup of the milk and stir into a smooth paste. Stir in remaining milk and Black Onyx Chocolate Sugar if using. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until hot and just starting to bubble around the sides. Pour into mugs and top each with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and a sprinkle of Pumpkin Pie Spice.
