Planks of fresh, white fish are coated in a sweet and spicy blend of sriracha chili, lime zest, and corn flour and pan-fried to achieve a delicately crisp crust. Cradled in a warm tortilla, a splash of lime juice and a drizzle of honey enhance sriracha’s characteristic tangy sweetness for a well-balanced flavor experience that comes together in under 15 minutes.

Sriracha, the starring flavor in these light and bright tacos, is a Thai hot sauce that is garlicky, tangy, sweet, and spicy. The mild heat in this dish (about a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10) builds but is easily tamed with the addition of crema, avocado, or a dressed slaw, making this fish taco feast very family friendly.  

Citrusy with mild heat and a hint of sweetness.  

1 lb. firm white fish, 3/4 cup whole milk, 1 lime, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 12 small tortillas, honey to drizzle, salt to taste

With Spice 'n Easy, cooking is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Just open, spice and serve. Each packet includes the pre-measured spices needed to make a quick, simple, and tasty recipe.

Directions:

Slice fish into 1/2-inch thick planks.  In a medium bowl, soak fish in milk for 10 min.  In a shallow bowl, stir lime zest into Honey Sriracha Lime Fish Taco mix.  In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.  Coat fish in the fish taco mix.  Working in batches, carefully add fish to skillet and cook for 30 to 40 seconds per side or until light golden brown and cripsy.  Sprinkle with salt to taste.Divide cooked fish between tortillas.  Top with a squeeze of lime juice and a drizzle of honey.  Serve hot. 

Notes:

Garnish with slaw, diced white onion, and cilantro.  

Spice Tips!

  • Vegetarian/Vegan Instructions: Omit milk and substitute extra-firm tofu for fish.
  • Air Fryer Directions: Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees. Add prepared fish to rack or basket and lightly spray with cooking oil. Air fry for 4 to 6 min. or until light golden brown and crispy.
