A classic Southern dish gets a modern barbecue twist with coffee-forward Black Dust Barbecue Sauce.

DIRECTIONS

Heat a large nonstick pan over medium heat. Add ham and cook for 3 to 4 min., or until some of the fat renders out. Add butter and cook for 2 min., or until ham is lightly browned. Flip ham and cook another minute, or until other side is browned. Remove ham but leave butter and fat in pan. Increase heat to medium-high. Stir in barbecue sauce and water. Cook for 2 min., stirring constantly. Add ham slices back to pan and turn to cover with gravy. Continue cooking, a few more minutes, until sauce is thickened to barbecue sauce consistency. Set ham aside, remove gravy from heat, and continue stirring for about 30 seconds. Serve ham topped with a spoonful of sauce. 



SERVING SUGGESTIONS

For traditional diner-style breakfast, serve ham on a toasted English muffin spread with cream cheese and top with sliced scallions. The perfect sandwich to enjoy with a cup of joe!
