This is a great burger for your next game day. The flavors are a fusion of buffalo wings and ground bison.

This burger can be made substituting beef for bison. Bison may cook slightly faster then a similar sized beef patty due to lower fat content.

Directions

For burger:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high. In a medium bowl combine bison with cheese and spices taking care not to over mix. Form 4 bison patties. Place patties in preheated skillet and cook for approximately 3 to 4 min. per side, or to desired doneness, turning once. Remove patties from skillet and let rest for 5 min. Spread butter on inside of buns. Toast buns in preheated oven until golden brown, approximately 10 min.

For slaw:

Shave carrots and celery into strips using a vegetable peeler. Cut strips into 2-inch pieces. Mix with ranch dressing.

To assemble:

Place burgers on the toasted buns and top with slaw. Cover with top bun and enjoy!
