Calabrian Hot Pepper Hummus Recipe

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp. Minced Garlic (or 4 to 6 fresh cloves, minced)
- 1 tsp. Kosher Salt
- Grated zest of 1/2 large lemon
- Juice from 1 large lemon
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans, drained
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. Calabrian Hot Pepper Paste
- 2 tsp. Italian Herbs

DIRECTIONS
Mix minced garlic, salt, and lemon zest with lemon juice and water. Set aside for 15 min. In a food processor, pulse garbanzo beans with tahini, olive oil, hot pepper paste, and herbs into a coarse paste. Add soaked garlic mixture and process until smooth.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Garnish with more Calabrian Hot Pepper Paste for a final kick of heat. Perfect as a dip with cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers, or olives. Makes a great sandwich spread.
