INGREDIENTS
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp. Chai Spices
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar or honey

Add all Savory items to cart

NOTES

*To avoid the need to strain your tea, place chai spices in a muslin bag before adding to water so they can be easily removed. 



DIRECTIONS

Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Meanwhile, use a mortar and pestle, rolling pin, or the bottom of a cup to break open cardamom pods (green football-shaped pods in the chai spice mixture), exposing seeds. Add chai spices and black tea to boiling water, reduce heat to a simmer, and steep for 10 min. Stir in milk and sweetener and bring back to a simmer before removing from heat. Strain* and serve.



SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Delicious hot or iced.
