This family recipe from Savory Spice founder Mike Johnston yields a classic, addictive cole slaw that makes the perfect summer side. It's the slaw he remembers his grandma making when the family would visit her in southern Illinois.

Place the mayo, sugar and vinegar in a pint jar; seal and shake vigorously until combined. Working in a large bowl, pour dressing over shredded cabbage and toss to combine. Add seeds (if using) and toss again. Refrigerate for 30 min. to let the flavors develop. Serve cold or at room temperature.

"A friend of mine gave me a sample of the Peruvian Chile Lime seasoning and now it is over. The quality is so good that I just had to find you guys online. I will be trying a few new spices. I hope to be happily satisfied by the new flavors as well. There is no better way for a business to grow than with word of mouth about great quality of products and service! Sending you love from Arizona, keep up the good work!"
