Recipe: Herbes de Provence Bumbleberry Sorbet
- 16 oz. frozen mixed berries (about 2 cups)
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (from about 2 oranges)
- 1 cup Herbes de Provence Simple Syrup*
Combine berries and water in a medium saucepan, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 min. Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool for a few min. Add mixture to a blender, puree until smooth and strain through a fine sieve to remove seeds. Add orange juice and syrup to mixture and place in refrigerator until well chilled. Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions. Place in sealed container in the freezer for a couple of hours before serving.
Serve topped with fresh berries. This recipe also works with our Hibiscus-Lavender Simple Syrup.
