Recipe: Hibiscus Berry Smoothie
This tart and tangy smoothie will brighten your day. Make-ahead tip: Prep a double, triple, or even quadruple batch of the hibiscus tea base and keep it in the fridge for faster smoothie making during the week.
Add 1/2 to 1 cup yogurt for a creamy version.
For hibiscus tea: Bring water to a boil. Pour boiling water over hibiscus and lavender if using. Let steep for 10 min. Strain tea into a new container and discard flowers. Set tea in refrigerator to cool for 15 to 30 min.
For smoothie: Add cooled hibiscus tea and remaining ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Add more Honey Powder if you want it sweeter. To thicken the smoothie, add more berries, apple, or some yogurt.
