Homemade Vanilla Extract Recipe

INGREDIENTS

Choose a vanilla bean:
- 3 Madagascar Vanilla Beans
- 3 Mexican Vanilla Beans

Choose an alcohol base:
- 1 cup (8 oz.) vodka
- 1 cup (8 oz.) bourbon
- 1 cup (8oz.) rum
Add all Savory items to cart
NOTES
Try infusing different vanilla beans into different alcohol bases. We like to pair Madagascar beans with bourbon and Mexican beans with light or dark rum.
DIRECTIONS
Make a long slit down the middle of each vanilla bean, exposing the seeds. Cut beans in half and place in a clean, sealable 8 oz. jar. Pour alcohol of choice over the beans to cover. Seal and let sit for at least one month. Shake the jar every few days to assist the infusion process.

Use in any recipe calling for vanilla extract.
