When you want a no-fuss weeknight meal, make this easy pizza.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 lb. ground turkey or pork
  • 1 Tbsp. South Fork Italian Sausage Spice
  • 1 cup tomato sauce*
  • 2 tsp. Italian Herbs
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 green or red bell pepper, sliced
  • 8 button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 precooked pizza crust
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 slices provolone cheese, cut into strips

*Use more or less tomato sauce depending on how saucy you like your pizza.



DIRECTIONS

Mix ground turkey or pork with South Fork Italian Sausage Spice to make a sausage mixture. If you have time, cover and refrigerate for 30 min. while prepping the remaining ingredients. Stir tomato sauce and Italian Herbs together in a small saucepan and warm over low heat. Meahwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage mixture and cook for about 5 min. then tranfser cooked sausage to a plate. Add peppers and mushrooms to the sausage skillet and cook for about 5 min. then remove from heat. Spread warmed tomato-herb sauce over pizza crust. Top with the cheeses then add cooked sausage and pepper-mushroom mixture. Bake at 450 degrees for about 10 to 15 min. until crust is browned and cheese and sauce are bubbling. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
